Hello?

Hello!  And Happy Thursday!  Tina here again today with another project share!

On Tuesday, I shared how I used the Liquitex Acrylic Inks to make a background for a mixed media layout.  Today, I will use a similar technique to create the background for my art journal spread.

Unlike the technique used HERE, I did not pre-mix the acrylic ink with water.  I added water after placing the ink to my background.

Step One:

Gesso background.

Step Two:
Add drops of acrylic ink directly to background.

Spritz with water.

Let dry.  Repeat this process until you get the color you want.  You can also let the ink drip down the page for another cool effect.

Step Three:
Add additional colors of acrylic ink in similar method.

Step Four:
Once you are happy with the background, you are ready to stamp.

Stamp your image to tissue paper so you can move your image around your page until you are happy with your placement.

Apply stamped tissue to art journal with matte medium, mod podge, or adhesive of choice.

Step Five:
DOODLE!  Have fun!  I repeated the phonebooth stamp and hello? for a bold statement.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my art journal tutorial!  What will you create today?
