Halloween Home Decor Projects times FOUR

Hello and Happy Monday!  Tina here today with the first blog post for October!

If you haven't had a chance to check out the October Kit(s), here's a peek at each one!

October Mixed Media Kit

And the October Limited Edition Kit...

I used a bit of both kits to create my Halloween Home Decor Projects this month.  Both kits work amazingly together and I seriously had to make myself STOP creating.  :)

I'll share my favorite project for the month first - "Halloween House"

Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I had no problem getting inspired when creating my projects this month.  I created a video tutorial to show you my creative process, but before we get to that, here are a few close-ups of the Halloween House.

And the video tutorial...

I didn't create a tutorial for each of my other projects, so I will share a couple of tips for each one.

"Googly Eye House"

For this project, I used pieces and parts from both kits again with some product from my personal stash.

To create the Googly Eye window in the house, I backed the opening with a piece of paper, then placed my eyes in the opening.  I filled the opening with Glossy Accents and let it dry completely.  For my 'bottle lamp', I 'aged' my mini bottle with alcohol ink.  I then cut out the mini lampshade from the Kit Ephemera sheet and adhered it to the bottle.  Super cute!

My next project is titled "13".

I seriously love creating wall art.  I love the simplicity of it and creating something unique to me.

For this project, I used an ephemera cut out from my personal stash and 'aged' her my adding a thick layer of Crackle Accents.  I also added Inka Gold to the edges.  I distressed the purple frame from the kit by covering it with black gesso, then spraying it with two colors of Lindy's spray - Screamin Banshee and Ghostly White.  (my favorite color combo)

My final project is titled "Boo"

Here is another canvas piece that was created with bits and pieces of the Main kit with some stuff from my stash.

I distressed both the purple frame and spider web from the kit with alcohol ink, black gesso, and Lindy's Spray.

This was the first time I used a Ranger Microscope slide in a project and just LOVE how it turned out.  Lots of alcohol ink and distressing.

Wow..that was a long post.  :)  Thank you for staying with me!  I can't wait till the Design Team shares the rest of the October projects.  They are incredible.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fantastic week!
