Hello again! I´ve got one more project to share with you this month and this is also my second contribution this month to my "simply stencils" series. Here is a little layout idea for your inspiration:

I first chose a stencil I would like to create a background patter with and placed it over a piece of white cardstock. I then applied some grey stamp ink (using a blending tool) thru the stencil. That created a really nice triangle pattern. 

 Next I sprayed the whole background with a yellow Lindy´s Stamp Gang spray ink (Yellow Rose of Texas). 

 Next I wanted to create a colour border underneath the photo, so I took several colours of Lindy´s Stamp Gang´s spray inks and randomly sprayed them onto the background next to each other. I let them create droplets quite freely (used tones: Magnolia Magenta Gold, Smoky Sapphire, Ramblin´ Rose Pink, Steampunk Sepia and Shabby Turbine Teal).

 I then used a Hero Arts cling stamp and stamped with the blue Midi Staz-On ink right above the colour border.

 Now that my background was done I just needed to add the title and some embellishments. I had chosen some wooden letters for the title, but only had two that were suitable. I therefore used the Tim Holtz Clear Fragments, a copic black pen and a woodgrain paper to create similar looking alphas for my title.

 The round canvas pieces are colored with Lindy´s spray inks (I used pretty much the same colours like on the droplets. I then stamped with a text stamp and blue Staz-On ink over them and finally added some Liquitex Titanium white ink droplets here and there. The stars I created with the Amazing Mold Putty and Amazing Casting Resin. Once they were ready for use, I covered them with IZINK golden ink and some Alumilite Silver Metallic Powder.

Finally I just wrote the journaling around the edges of the paper and my layout was done! I hope you liked this little inspirational project!

April Kit Canvas: Give Without Expecting Anything:)

Hello!  Sue here with another April Kit project.

I apologize right away for the lack of photos during the "process."  

It happened rather quickly, and to be honest...I was "caught up in the moment!"

Does that ever happen with you?

I will do my best to explain what you see and hope that if you have any questions, 

you won't hesitate to ask!

I started with the canvas minis...they gave me the direction for the canvas.

9 circles would be the "background subject."

I used a paper pen (from a previous FD kit) in black to draw flowers.

As I began work on the rest of the canvas, these would have time to dry.

Next, I collaged the background with various old book pages, labels, and the GoRGEoUS  Deco patch tissue paper from our April kit.

I wanted to pull out a hint of green, so I added a little acrylic paint in random spots.

After the paint was added, I went back with a credit card, and spread a thin layer of gesso over the whole canvas to soften the colors.

I traced the canvas minis to create the 9 circles.

Using old book pages, I cut out circles and then doodled on them using a 

Pitt multi-liner and Scarlet Lime pen.

I left a few circles empty to allow the word "give" more ""breathing room."

Above you can see what I did with each "traced circle." I first used the iZink pigment ink in gold...taking the dropper that comes with the bottle, I simply filled it with ink and went around the circle's edge.  Immediately, I sprinkled the Alumidust Powder in plum, over the wet gold ink and tapped off the excess.  I "hit it" with a heat tool to set.

You can also see above, that I cut out several of the "lime" shapes from the tissue paper and added them randomly to the canvas with matte medium.  

The edge of the circle is outlined with the Scarlet Lime Pen.  These pens are wonderful because they practically write through mud:)

I wrote the word "give" with a bottle of Pinata ink from a previous kit. 

I wrote with the tip of the bottle itself.

*Our kit products last for soooo many projects!

Above is a close-up of the canvas mini.  I glued these on with mod podge.

The second line is also written with the Scarlet Lime pen.

I loved the Gold ink, and decided to add more, letting it drip down by tipping the canvas up.

The final steps were to add a few randomly placed word stamps and a 

black edge to the canvas using a gelato.

Jewellery with Amazing Mold Putty and Clear Cast Resin

Hello there, Sanna here today. When I saw the April add-on kit, I immediately knew that I would love to make my own jewellery with it. Here are some of the projects I made using the Amazing Mold Putty and the Amazing Clear Cast Resin. On some of these projects I have also used various products from previous kits and/or from the April main kit.

For this neclace I first created some simple round molds - I made those in two sizes, one for a neclace and one for a ring. I however didn´t have the ring base ready at home, so I will have to wait until I get on to make a matching ring for the neclace. Here is a close-up of the jewellery.

Here are some of the molds I created. I was thinking I´d rather make a couple at once, so I used all kinds of objects I had in my stash to create these.

I first mixed an equal amount of the white and yellow Amazing Mold Putty together and then pressed it over the objects, let the molds dry properly and then went over to the next step.

When the molds were ready to be used, I first mixed some Amazing Clear Cast together with the red plum Alumidust Powder. I then poured some of the fluid into the molds, placed some Mica Fragments into the molds and then poured them full with the reddish fluid. I let them dry properly before removing the finished resin pieces from the molds (over night). After that I just glued the round piece on it´s place and the neclace was ready to be worn.

For my next jewellery pieces I used some of the Mixed Media Bezels that are available at the shop. I started with the neclace and then made a matching bracelet.

I first cut a piece of patterned paper and glued it on the bottom of the Bezel. Next I applied tiny drops of the gold IZINK onto the paper. 

After that I mixed the clear resin and poured a little into the Bezel.

Then I applied some Mica Fragments and tiny pealrs over the clear resin and after that poured the Bezel full with the resin fluid until to the top. I left the piece dry properly over night and started making the bracelet.

The bracelet is made exactly the same way like the neclace piece. I really like the effect the Mica Fragments create. When sun hits them they really stand out. Here are the finished pieces:

Then I also altered an older piece of jewellery as I had enough clear resin mixed together and didn´t want to waste any. This one was very easy to make.

 I just punched a circle out of a patterned paper piece and glued it down onto it´s place and covered the paper with Amazing Clear Cast. Then I just let all the pieces dry and they were ready to be used. 

I also created a couple of "loose" Bezels which I might use on some other projects later or create some custom made jewellery out of them in the future. 

For these two I mixed some Amazing Clear Cast Resin together with the Pealized Alumilite Powder and then added some Alumilite Blue and Red Dye into the mixture. I then poured the coloured mixtures into the Bezels and added some Colour and Mica Fragments on top for additional detail.  This is how they look like when they were all done.

Well that was pretty much jewellery for one post, wasn´t it. I must add that I am not a very talented jewellery maker, so I kept my projects pretty simple. But as you can see, you can still create some really nice pieces, even though you would be doing it for the very first time - like I did here :). 

 

I hope this post has you inspired to try out these products. They are really easy to use and the whole process of creating can get quite addictive :). I very much enjoyed making my own jewellery pieces with these products!
