butterfly: an altered tin

Hi there! Smitha here today, showing a quick way to alter those metal tins that are included in March's Mixed Media kit.

Step 1:

Cover the front of the lid with stickers. I love these license plate ones!

Step 2:

Distress stickers with paint and inks. Punch a butterfly from the stickers as well.

Step 3:

Add rusting powder. Adhere butterfly onto tin.

Step 4:

The rusting turned out well. Unfortunately, all the vinegar I used for the rusting powder peeled the butterfly stickers off. Oh well. Moving forward, add the word "bingo" underneath the butterfly.

Step 5:

Finish off the tin by adding paint and a letter sticker. Add a protective sealant layer.
