Playful Musings: Tagalicious!!!

The September kit has so many playful tools to add Color to your art!!!  This post will explore different ways of playing and making tag art.

Use watercolors to paint background, use a couple colors.  As mentioned above, Spray over the dried watercolor with Dylusions White Spray.

The Big Brush Pitt Pen was perfect to color the tag string.  The hot pink reinforcement circle adds a nice "Pop" of color at the tag hole.  Attach the fine liner to the Paint Pen and doodle around the edge of the tag.  Add collage image, words, and 3D elements.

Playing with the Limited Edition Kit, I did a Gelli Plate background on these tags.  My Sept. 10 post and other Design Team Member Posts show techniques for monoprinting.

Extra color and enhancement added with Big Brush colors, and Sharpie Orange.  After stamping images, further color added.  3D embellishments finish off the tags.

Here is a cover of a tag book.  Adhere mono printed paper to cover of tag book.

Color with the Big Brush directly on the stamp.  Then stamp onto to cover.  Recolor and stamp again.  Stamp the words with the orange (cube dye ink).  Add the Fragments around and tie the lacing.  If you gently stretch ends after tying, the lace will stay in place.

Use the florescent colors and age it to look distressed.

The last tag, Distressed ink added on a craft mat, and tag dragged onto the surface.  Then place a stencil over - secure with painter's tape.  Color on stencil with Big Brush and use a stencil brush to bring color into open areas of the stencil.  Cover part of the tag and spray the Dylusions white.

Shade with Big Brush, other markers and distress with Distressed Inks.  Twist fiber and wire to add an embellishment through the hole.

As you can see, this month's kits had me Playing to the MAX!!!  I couldn't stop, I was having so much fun!  Spend an afternoon playing, experimenting, and arting.   Be inspired by various media and spur your imagination!!!!
