Inspirational Pin

What a wonderful kit filled with materials for different textures, colors, and blanks to work with!!

Lots of color and texture makes my heart happy!  I wear pins all the time.

A home improvement store carries those "laminate" chip samples.  The size is perfect for pins or ATC cards. If you can't snag a sample, heavy duty cardsboard or cardstock will work.

I start by placing a double-sided adhesive sheet to the laminate chip.  Rip some Bo Bunny decorative scrapbook paper and add to top and bottom.

I added some Lindy's EP in 2 places to add dimension and a different texture.  Once the powder is stuck, you do not have to worry about heating/melting until you finish creating your design.

Distressed Glitter is added with EP, then the EP is melted with heat tool.  I turned the laminate chip around as I liked this view better!

I covered the edges of the surface and only exposing the decorative papers, spritzed and sprayed Lindy's sprays.

I cut this words flower of Catherine Scanlon's Coloring Pages and decided to do the petals with the Souffle' Pens!  The kit gives you a lot to play with, but I have a big stash of Sakura of America's pens.  The Souffle' pens give a glossy, opaque, dimensional look to the surface you color on.

Using several colors of Lindy's Moon Shadow Inks, I colored the center of the flower.  On the finished piece you will see the highlights and shadows.  Of course the camera doesn't capture the beautiful shimmer these inks have.

Again, Souffle' pens are used for coloring the leaves, also Lindy's spray, and then I used the Lindy's EP to add more texture to the one leaf frond.

I did more accenting with Niji Pearlescent Watercolors.  The smaller flower is colored with both Souffle' Pens and regular Gelly Roll Pens by Sakura of America.  Add a pin back using a silicone adhesive, or any heavy-duty adhesive.  Flower adhered with Glue Dots to lift it up a bit from the surface.

It is fall.  I love giving.  Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up!  I will be wearing this pin all over.  Many times I am asked to create pins for others.  It's fun ----  I LOVE LIFE!!!
